sleeping on the alpacka dory, with an air mattress is heaven. on cold nights you would also need some kind of insulation on top of this light air mattress. the Montbell 3 oz air pillow is a nice lightweight pillow choice too.

Boots camping at Middle Fork Creek with me

The last hurahhhh of summer found me camping with Boots. Just the two of us in the rain at Middle Fork Creek just outside Seattle near North Bend. We made a teepee to stay dry under while we sat near the fire. We took walks by the creek and up on a mountain. We kept dry in our tent and ate great food on sticks.

Magnum Tents Tipi Spike Tent

Locked and loaded for hunting season, winter camping, & ice fishing. I bought a bottle of seam seal and it is waterproof according to my backyard hose. Well worth the 9 and shipped right to my front door. With a small wood stove it is nothing short of a 'sweat lodge' and the material is designed to reflect heat to stay inside. I would compare this with it competitors that cost 3-4x's as much money minus a couple bells and whistles that I couldn't justify at this time.

Heel mooi gerenoveerde kampeerboerderij, pal naast een restaurant en aan de andere kant de woning van de eigenaar. Veel ruimte, beperkte privacy, alhoewel het in principe een heel rustige weg is waar het aan ligt. Achterin de tuin een grote Tipi-tent, ook leuk voor bijeenkomsten en ceremonies.

The Wild West in Thailand

Driving east of Chiangmai (Thailand) out of the corner of my eye I saw a row of Native American (Indian) Wigwams ... teepees ... pointy tents. Out of disbelief I turned the car around and went to investigate ... and explored this little part of the Wild West in Asia. It turned out to be the "The Log of Paradis Cowboy Resort" .. a new resort .. it was open but still building.
