2010 Omak Stampede Rodeo Beauty Queen

The hill where the 2010 Omak Stampede Suicide Race is run doesn't look so large from a distance or so steep, then again we are not on a horse running down it. There are many things going on throughout the day at the stampede, from the Native Encampment to the midway. Camping is right there and it was full of campers, RV's and tents, a wholesome family atmosphere.

I spent saturday night in a tepee, and they are brilliant. You can sit by the fire, enjoying the light, warmth and atmosphere. You can then cook your dinner, and relax, lie back and look at the stars. This particular tepee is carpeted, and has been in place for 9 years with no significant issues. They seem to me to be a far superior design to the modern tent, where you can't cook or heat the inside, and for light your options are far less atmospheric, not to mention the stars...

This has not been done before on YouTube that I have seen so far, I found a place on Google Earth that looked like a Native American Indian Woman standing by her teepee, then I painted all the lines in it. Drawing turned out great & was so much fun to do. Check out the time span from the first to the very last one. It's like a movie of sorts. Go green, save our planet! Grow a garden. Feed the hungry.Walk don't drive the cars. Take a bus or ride your bike. I have named her "Sunshine" what my Mother use to call me. She has passed on, and I still hear her sing to me in my dreams, the sun shine song :)
