Tentipi Safir CP7 & Eldfell woodstove in use, camping Washington USA

Testing our new Tentipi Safir CP 7 with Eldfell wood stove, on a late April 2010 camping trip up to rainy Lopez in the San Juan islands, puget sound Washington state. 2 days/nights of wind and rain with some nice sun breaks thrown in. The Tentipi did well as did the stove. No leaks or malfunctions. Very easy to set up and pack away. There are some vids online made by Tentipi showing the basic process of setting up. It really was as easy as they showed. Everyone, especially the gals liked the warmth of the wood stove. Our tent became the hangout and we could sit 5-6 people around the stove. The wife won't go camping without heat and some comforts and these big tents provide that. I asked her what she was saying in Norwegian, she was counting to 10 to keep from killing me for filming & teasing her. Pretty good sport. Overall very happy with this gear. Didn't like the high costs of having one sent over from Europe. The high price tag of the tent/stove along with the shipping and duty are a killer. A UK based website that will sell & ship a Tentipi to USA addresses is Nordicoutdoor. They handled our sale and shipment brilliantly.

Tent Stove for my Tentipi Safir 9 - Not the eldfell stove / ovn

Just received my tent stove from russia :-) ...After paying loads of money for the tentipi Safir 9... I did not feel like paying 900eur for their stainless steel stove eldfell....So looking for alternatives I got a contact in russia...They use tent stoves all the time...So now ill test...the front arrangement im not sure if is good or bad...maby a door would be better.... If you would like one like this...price is around 350eur and half in ordinary steel...

The Russian Stove - Not the Tentipi Eldfell :-)

I finally got at oppurtunity to test the stove that I recieved from sibiria :-) The tent stove is made of stainless steel, and build quality seems very good ! I would like to test it against the original tentipåi eldfell stove - to see if the eldfell is worth the extra money .. 350 eur VS 900 eur .....
